Works great, but not for tall people, January 16, 2011 A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sunbeam Twin XL Heated Mattress Pad (Kitchen) Sunbeam Twin XL Heated Mattress Pad - the pictures are not of the actual item I recieved. The picture shows the connector being near the edge of the bottom of the bed, and placed off to the side edge of the bed. The one I received had the connector in the middle of the bottom of the bed, and farther inboard from the bottom of the bed. As a result I keep hitting my feet against in, very uncomfortable. Also, the controller is not the same as shown in the picture either. Controller works fine. Heating wires are hardly noticeable, and though itdoes not seem to be very warm to the touch, once you are on top of it and under some blankets, it gets warm fast! I had to use it at the lowest setting or I would sweat too much.
Bottom line- great product if you are not a tall person, but if you are, it is not for you. I'm 6'1", and I'm returning it.

My husband and I have an adjustable split king bed - he has ALS, and needs the adjustments to assist with transferring in and out of bed and helping to make breathing easier... He is alway hot, and I am always cold. It is difficult to find things that fit our bed - we need twin XL fitted sheets, and Cal. king blankets.. This twin XL mattress pad is perfect! I have it on my half of the bed - husband doesn't need the heat at all. I set it on high about 5 minutes before getting into bed, then turn it all the way down to low or level 2 for a warm and toasty night. It has transformed my night experience!
